Hi Paul, I see you've taken the plunge and bought yourself an i3. Why do you think you need an arial? I have a heated windscreen and I am having absolutely zero problems picking up a signal, even in a built-up area (ie. my driveway between two houses, with the garage right in front, therefore a VERY narrow strip of sky above).
It does take quite a while the first time you use it, and I found I had to go to an open area - the nearest supermarket parking lot worked well. After that, it's just a few seconds.
I have mine mounted in the right hand corner where there are no wires in the windscreen. It's small enough that you can do that. It also means that when you glance at it, you are also glancing at on-coming traffic peripherally, which is an added safety measure. |

Hi
Leave it "turned on" in the garden for 20 mins. It will then lock onto the Sats.
Look in FAQ's
Hope it helps
