i added a few POIs and now i get this message.
When i turn it on, it powers up and then says no map found and asks me to download via bluetooth.
when i attemp to so this it tries charging me.
also tried reinstalling the software 5.42 but no luck.
the tom tom site is useless and doesnt help
any advice would be great

hi
i had this problem over the weekend and ended up having to reinstall the maps
all i added were a few pois and updated to 5.420 then it stopped working. when looking on the sd card it said great-britian map un accessable(or something similar)
i hope you have backed up your origonal maps, i was glad my mother had backed hers up as i told he to when she bought it as i live 200 miles away and it would have been a long trip just to get my maps for her

although if i get a friend to make a back up on his 700 will i be able to reinstall it on my tom tom?

It won't work unless you also have a 700 with the same map version. |
