I have problems getting the VM 4.3 Navigation program to work with my BT Holux GPS GR-231. The PDA is an Orange PSV M1000 Pocket PC 2003.
The PDA and the GPS work well in the GPS Viewer program but not in the VM program. The VM support people in Denmark claim that the VM Nav program is only tested with Kirrio GPS modules and that it requires NMEA 183 v. 2.0. The Holux module sends NMEA 183 v. 2.2 protocol. Does anybody know if the VM program and Holux GR-231 module are compatible? What do I do to get them to talk? Any help would be much appreciated. Question

Thanks for your advice, joeninety! Unfortunately it did not solve the problem The pda still hangs as soon the bluetooth GPS is switched on. Consequently, no position data is transmitted untill I switch off the GPS. In that split second the pda receives the position but only as a one time event. Obviously, I have tried various settings and sequences of switching the GPS and PDA on and off but without success.
Does anybody have an other idea of what may be wrong?

Thanks in advance
