I have a ipaq h1930 with TomTom Navigator 5.000. all works fine, I have downloaded 'spoken warnings for POI alerts' but can not get it to work, still have Cow and Cuckoo sounding instead of the new phrases. can anyone help!! |

These warnings are in the file called data.chk. Rename the existing one olddate.chk or something similar so you can get it back if need be. Then put the new file with the warnings you have in the same folder and rename that data.chk.
Switch on TT and hey presto _________________ Peter

There is one additional but important thing to do a Soft Reset, or the old data will still be loaded into the device memory, soft reset will force it to load the New data.chk file and the spoken alerts - Mike |

Thanks Peter and Mike, have tried what you have said but still will not work, have reinstalled TT5 and spoken alerts, still the same. Help |
