Upgrading more than one pocket pc

I have tried to search through for an answer to my question but not found anything so hoping someone can help me.

Both my husband and I have pocket pcs. We both had tomtom 3 on it. I bought the new tomtom 5 disc and have installed it on my pocket pc. My husband has happily carried on with his version 3 apart from the downside with the postcodes.
Would I be able to install the tomtom 5 off the same disc on to his, as I put on my pocket pc or will it only install on one machine.

Legally you can't.

If you install on another Device you will need to Activate the Maps. If you do this, and you have a problem with the first Device, you might be unable to Activate that.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I had a feeling that would be the answer - just seems a shame when I want to use it genuinely in one family that I would have to pay out for two cds
