Why does the tom tom 300 sometimes tell you to keep left but in actual fact you need to be going straight on?? it was done this on a few occasions.
Is there anything i can do to solve this? |

I found this, i get it when motorways split or multi lane roads. It just a case of also keeping you eyes on traffic signs, and which way the arrow is going. _________________ Using an A to Z

It's not a motorway merge where this happens, it's a motorway diverge.
It only tells you to keep left in order to say, don't take the exit off to the right.
Similarly 'keep right' often means 'don't take the exit' |

But sometimes it tells you to keep right when you should stay in the left lane for the next exit in couple of hundred metres.
Have you tried getting across four lanes of rush hour motorway in 200 metres? 8O 8O _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Depends on your interpretation of keep right. To me it doesn't mean the furthest lane to the right, just means don't go left.
But I don't know the exact circumstance that causes her to say that when in fact you need to be preparing to exit... |

There's a junction on the M25, J5 I think, where you have to exit to stay on the M25, if you carry straight on it changes to the A21. So I guess that could, technically speaking, mean an exit to the right . |

The junction where I had the odd message is at M25 J16. M25 Anti-clockwise. If you want to go on M40 towards Oxford you pass the first exit to M40 towards London where the GO says "keep right". Pass under the M40. Then the GO says "take the exit".
Not as bad as the M56 at Wythenshaw where the M56 exits left if you want to stay on it and Jane says absolutely nothing!! And you are 4 lanes out in stationary traffic in the rush hour when you realise 8O 8O 8O _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

A1(M) soundbound at Hook Moor, you have to stay right to join the M1
A1(M) northbound at Washington, you have to stay right to join the A194(M)
Other examples on the A167(M) |

Ive heared is more abroad and only once in the UK but the Tom Tom does have an instruction that says "Take the exit on the left" and "Take the exit on the right" its a situation where the motoway divides and then ends on both exits. |
