Slow response from new SD card

I've copied all the files from the original SD 128 MB card to new larger 1 GB one, ready to install other country maps. The existing UK application works fine off the new card, except entering destinations by Address, where the entry of the City has gone very slow - 10-15 seconds after entering one character before I can enter the next one. I've checked all the files on the card for hidden, read only etc. It feels as though there is an index file or something missing. Any ideas?

I can't answer your question specifically, but I have heard of performance problems if the SD card is formatted to FAT32 rather than the standard FAT (FAT16).
