Hello, new to here and just bought a Garmin i3. Have only had a quick test run with it so far but am so far pleased. Only one stupid little question which is so annoying had to ask! Yesterday I went into go to, food etc. and asked for MacDonalds. It is telling me that the nearest MacDonalds is in Calais when I live in London! Went into petrol stations and it got that right so just seems to the the food section, am I doing something wrong?!

No you are not doing anything wrong. Your sat nav finds things like this by using Points of Interest (POIs), which can be found on databases. You just don't have a very good database. However help is at hand - click on Points of Interest in the box on the left of the screen and you will be able to download lots of databases

Thats the good news. the bad is that it is not as easy in the Garmin as in other units. - I don't know how to because I have never tried! Do a search of the forums, especially the Garmin Streetpilot one and the camera database (same principle) one.

Alternatively some nice person who knows will be along soon to answer that specific point.

Thanks for that. I did manage to install the CD that came with it, which was the speed camera database (though have not tested it yet). I will try and see what others there are to download. Thanks!
