Hi all, i've just bought a TomTom One and am trying to download the speedcamera database but it doenst seem to be working, in fact i cant see any POI stuff in the three pages of menus in the unit???
Can someone explain to me exactly how to enable POI?speedcamera databases, thanks.

Hi Paul, and welcome on board.
If you go to this website, and look specifically at this page, http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/pgps.html you will find lots of help on what to do with the files.

| i've tried all the walk throughs on this site but cant get any of the speed camera.poi stuff to work, is it possible i have th wrong software? also is there a way of finding out what software i am running. |

| OK i managed to get the database in, could someone please post me a list of the files that should be in the great britain map folder on my tomtom one, as i think i have some extras that dont need to be there, but i dont want to start deleting things unless i'm sure! :D |

All TomTom Products use the same .ov2 POI Format.

If you tap the screen, then tap the Sat. signal strength indicator the Software version is displayed. If you tap the Version Number you get all the Data, including Map Version Number, relating to your Device.
The list of files in my Great Britain Plus map is:
cline.dat
cname.dat
cnode.dat
faces.dat
Great_Britain_Plus.mid
Great_Britain_Plus.pna
mapinfo.dat
poi.dat
setup.dat
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat
It doesn't include the POI files that I have.
By the way, have you done a Full Backup of the SD Card? If not, do it straight away.
