As subject heading. Have I missed the announcement that was due in January? If so, could someone point me in the right direction please?

Which announcement exactly? We have published the pricing scheme and are finalising the subscription backend systems. You can purchase individual one month or annual subscriptions priced at £2 per month or £19 per year.
Payments can be made via PayPal, Nochex or cheque, PO and subscribers will have access to a closed forum area that will have special discounts and regular competitions.
And of course you automatically qualify for lifetime membership if you contributed data to the database prior to the deadline of 1st January 2006. Full details of how qualifying members get these will be announced later this month. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I can't give you a date as much depends on stuff we're working on getting into place. However we have to have this ready before the end of month release so it'll be before then! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Cutting it a bit fine aren't we? The new update is due tomorrow. That means that the server is going to be "maxed out" and really slow over the next couple of days with everyone wanting to register their free membership, unless it is done automatically.

Indeed we are but we're working as fast as we can and are testing the subscription systems. Invites have gone out to all the contributors eligible for free membership and this process will not impact the servers. We're now completing final testing as I write this. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Not yet, we have a great many emails to send and are compiling them in batches (there are thousands). We hope to have emailed everyone we have on record by mid week and will make an announcement when this is done inviting any who believe they are eligibl but have not received an invite to contact us using a dedicated email address. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Is this the email you're referring to? |
