hi
i have a medion 150 with tom tom (5, i believe) running on it. everything works fine, signal bars etc. i was using it the other day and twice it locked up (stopped navigating) requiring a soft reboot. my daughter had used it on an earlier, longer, more complicated, trip and everything was fine. the only difference being, i had my mobile phone right next to the device, (as in touching).
could the signal from the mobile phone cause the 150 to do this or could it be a fault begining to rear its ugly head?
'... maintain a distance of at least 10 ft. from sources of high-frequency and magnetic interference (televisions, loudspeaker systems, mobile telephones and so on). This will avoid malfunctions and loss of data.'
So, with the 'phone TOUCHING the PDA ... !?!
However, bearing in mind the impossibility of complying with this recommendation in the average British car, and that dual phone/PDA holders are available, I think you may just have to put up with the odd lock-up ! _________________ Getting older and more senile by the minute !
