I am considering buying (therefore downloading) the latest maps from Tomtoms website. Could someone please tell me if they contain recent motorway junction changes for me, before I part with my cash.
The junction is Junction 21 on the M62 at Milnrow, near Rochdale. At present there is one roundabout at the end of the slip roads. Soon there will be three roundabouts. Therefore could someone please tell me if the latest maps show one, or three roundabouts.
Thanks in advance. |

I really don't know, but to be frank it sounds as if you know the area anyway, so I wouldn't worry. They've just finished a new , big, roundabout near me which is not on the map, but as I know it, it's no big deal.....TT does its head in for a short while and then back to normal. |

Surely the original poster was trying to ascertain how up to date the new maps are likely be in the rest of the country because based on his his local knowledge as they were not as good as he would like in his.

no it won't show three roundabouts it only shows one but to be honest why one small change to one junction make some buy a whole new map there still building the new slip roads at junction 21 so doubt the new layout will be in the next map update at it won't really affect navigation in the area _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
Oh the joys of being a courier.

Yes, I agree with your comments, just wondered how up to date the new map will be? I am beginning to wish I never asked!! Think I'll keep the cash in the bank for now. |

I have map version 632, which I downloaded last week. It only shows one roundabout at the end of the Milnrow slip road, but I wouldn't have expected anything else, as you say the 3 are not yet open. The maps won't be changed until someone from the mapping company has driven over them - then it will take several months to be incorporated.
The latest version shows some changes to junctions here in Swansea which took place last summer, just after TT5 was released. I expect that it will reflect most changes up to last Autumn.

Since they haven't finished that work and the maps are generally one year out of date, the existing maps will only show one roundabout !
[Yes, I live near there too] |
