Hi

decided to get tomtom for my medion pocket pc that i used to use medion navigator and the wired reciever.

now i cant get tomtom to work, i guess its because of the settings its asking me and i dont know which to put.

any help would be much appreciated please.

the options are :

tom tom wireless gps
tomtom cable gps
other bluetooth gps
other cable NMEA gps

here i'm guessing its other cable NMEA gps, as i'm using the wired reciever i got with the medion pocket pc and software.

other choosing this i am asked for baud rate. 4800 is the default i think, but i dont know what rate the reciever works at.

then the final option is

COM3:
S2410 IRADA2410
S2410 COM1
Serial on USB

no idea which to choose, the reciever connects to the bottom of the pocket pc, its not usb, slighty wider and thinner. but when i connect to my pc the wire has a usb on one end.

please help

thank you very much

Try experimenting with type (start with other NMEA), com ports and Baud rates and see if it works.

You may however have difficulties if your version of TT is not legitimate

ok if its the Medion PPC 200 then.. tomtom 5 works but very well.. tomtom 3 is better.. but for 5 the settings are

cable NMEA gps
BR 4800

ones you have got these setings exit tom tom.
disconnect gps cable
press reset.
once booted reconnect gps cable.
wait 1 min.
start tomtom.
strt driving away and it should find your location and get a lock.
