My collegue is having problems trying to get his XDAIIi to work with the above mount. It worked ok with his old XDAII but this one is saying "no gps device".
Also when put in the mount it comes up with connecting to host, which is ActiveSync coming on as though it's connecting to the pc.
Anyone out there with any ideas?

HI Korndog got the same kit myself the connetion screen you describe is normal.I have mine set as follows

This is via the following Menu in Tom Tom

Change Preferences

Show Gps Status

Configure

other NMEA GPS

GPS Baud rate 4800

Serial Cable on Com1:

Mine is connected to the holux CR100

I do have a problem though, i seem to lose the gps single if i have the sound on (voice navigation). If i turn the voice navigation off all appears to run smoothly although this has been over short distances only.I have just purchased a 512 kingston MMC to see if that will make any difference.I'll keep you posted.
