My sister-in-law has TT300 with a pocket gps speedcamera database on it which was a few months old. There were lots of local mobile camera sites on it - one of which is at the end of my road. My own TT has never shown these POI's as I have always had a newer database installed. When I updated her TT with the latest database, all of these sites have disappeared. I have seen these mobile sites being operated by the police, so I know the information was correct, so can anyone shed any light as to why these sites are no longer on the database please? |

Sounds like you've exceeded your POI category limit. |

OK, I'll delete some POI categories on mine and see if it does the trick, but wouldn't the category marked "pocketgps uk mobile" not be there if the limit had been exceeded, if you see what I mean? I have used the speedzoned version on both TT's, 256 Mb card in her 300 and mine is TT 700, so there shouldnt be a memory problem.
Thanks. |

The problem lies within the file "pocketgps uk mobile ov2". If I put the older version onto my TT700, the camera sites are displayed. If I replace this file with the later update, the sites have gone. Could it be simply that these sites are no longer to be used ? |

It could simply be that these sites have been reported for removal at some point between the database version your sister has and the current one.
If they are still valid locations report them to cameras@pocketgpsworld.com and we'll re-add them. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Mobiles are particularly problematic as more often than not there will be no van at the site and so users tend to report them as incorrect.
We usually will not remove a mobile site unless a user local to that area states that they have not seen a van there in x years etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |
