installing capture poi tomtom go 700

hello all
could anyone explain to me in laymans terms how to install the poi capture download onto my tomtom 700 i do not understand all the computer talk(ov2 ,bmp files extra)i'am a complete novice at this sort of thing all help would be gratfully recieved cheers pocko26

Hi pocko26 and welcome aboard.

There are no ov2/bmp files involved in the installation of the POICapture utility.

Before you start make sure that you have V5.202 or V5.203 on the 700. It will not work with any other TT software.

If you are OK on that, have you got a Full Backup of the 700? If not I would do that anyway. Just copy everything on the 700 to a Folder on your PC.

Then follow the instructions found at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/poicapture-tomtom-go.php

This will put 2 Folders on the 700, SDKRegistry and POICapture.

If you want to know of problems others have had using POICapture, or have problems yourself, use the Search Icon at the top of the page and put POICapture in the Search Box. Be aware that POICapture also works on PDA's and some of the posts might not be applicable to you.

If you still have trouble come back and ask. It will probably get a better response if you then ask in the TomTomGo/Rider/ONE Forum. ;)
