Which to Buy

I am currently using "Routis" with my Ipaq 3955,I am wanting to upgrade to just a stand alone navigation system. I live in tu states and need something that will cover all states and up dateable each year or when needed. What system should I buy?

Garmin Streetpilot i3 is good - but admittedly have no experience of anything else...
