|

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help.
I have recently purchased a Mitac Mio 268 (not the + Version) from a friend. However I have been made aware that there is an Upgrade available for both the Rom and the Maps.
I have downloaded the rom update ready to do, but I cannot find the V2 map anywhere. I phoned Mio, and they were about as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike, they told me it would be available again in the new year.
Can someone please tell me where I can download/purchase said map, (I only need the UK One), if anyone has it already could I possibly get a copy from you, which I would be willing to pay for.
Regards

Mio made the upgrade available for a while which was done directly via MIO so all i could recommend is wait till the new year. _________________ Regards

Free Mio Map upgrades are not available any more through our e-shop.
You can still order them at your dealer's untill the end of stock
http://www.navigating.de/MioMap_en/POI/Index.htm will give you info on re poi's |

If Halfords were given some as backups then Marc_L400's suggestion of trying to blag one from them is the way to go.
As stated elsewhere Mio have stopped the upgrade at the moment.
As an aside, the upgrade was free, actually getting it wasn't, you ordered it from the website and it cost £11 for postage from Belgium.
Having said that, the V2 maps are much better and there are more features (for example, the speed limit on the road you are using is displayed on screen as a proper uk speed limit sign).
I bought a 268 for my g/f last year. Had never heard of it, but it was lowest price unit on the day I got it. It's turned out to be very impressive. Halfords are currently doing them for £170!!!! |

Halfords - Waste of time.
According to them - dont stock them and never have.
Oh well.
Anyone else help me.

Craig. |
