Hi Ezglide and welcome on board.
If you want to be made aware of the speed the cameras are set at, you will need to use the Speed Zoned Camera Set.
If you change from the general group to the speed zoned groups, don't forget to delete the old one first.
There is more on which cameras to use here. _________________ Richard

I don't understand a lot of what's on "Ray's Tom Tom site", probably down to me being hopeless with computers, but why would anyone go for Setups 1 or 2?
Setup 3 seems to have more things, what things I don't really understand, but there ARE more things, so why would you go for LESS things on Setups 1 or 2? |

Each camera category is a PoI category. You can only add 39 of these is you have version 5.42 (or only 27 if you have system 5.2). The full setup3 takes up about 25 of the available spaces.
So, setup 1 and 2 leave more room for other PoIs of you own making.
The 39 limit is "per map". If you have a 700 one map covers 18 countries. There are speed camera downloads available for each country!! _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Several reasons....
1) You may own a particular SatNav unit that can only handle ONE set of Points of Interest at a time. Its not just for the TomTom, remember.
2) You need or want an awful lot of other POI categories. The Go range can handle 27 or 39 depending on software version. Other makers systems may cope with a lot less, I don't know. Either way, you may want some of those slots for other things.
3) You may not want the hassle of, or not feel confident of, installing and then activating upwards of 26 separate files.
4) You may simply not care about what type or speed of camera it is.
Different wants, different needs.... |
