Hi Guys,
For some reason, I cannot install the maps for Copilot PPC 6 on my Lexar 80X CF card (2G). I formatted the card over and over, and still, I keep getting this error code: "Event code over max size of table or duplicate event code". On the contrary, installing the PPC 6 maps on an SD (1G) card was no problem at all. And I never had this problem with PPC 5, using the exact same CF card. ALK support is not forthcoming with any workable help. They don't seem to know what they're doing. Please help. And thanks in advance. |

i also have a 2GB sd card and all worked fine for me. I have an HX4700.
Can you manually copy files to the SD card?.
Are you using a card reader? that might help _________________ Wife 3 kids.... unversity fees...:-(

darneld15 was talking about a 2GB CF card. I dont know, but could it be the type of card, rather than the size of card which is the most important factor here?
I also suspect, that it might even turn out to be a limitation of the PPC rather than anyting to do with CoPilot.
Sorry that I can't give an answer, but hopefully this post will ring a few bells with someone who can. |

Hi Paul-m and Neil01
I appreciate the response..... My PDA is a Dell Axim x50. I have the same problem whether I use a card reader or activesynch the PDA. My CF card is a Lexar 80X? Yours is not... I may be wrong; but I tend to agree with Neil01 that it might be the particular CF card, or some kind of a glitch with Copilot 6. As I stated, I am able to intall the Copilot version 5 maps on that same CF card with no problem whatsoever... Does anybody out there have a 2G Lexar 80X CF card to try and install the Copilot 6 maps on?
Thanks,
Darnel |

I would suspect a problem with the card/PPC/card reader combination. I had lots of problems with a 1Gb SD card in my PPC and also with my USB card reader whicd had nothing to do with Coilot. The problem only appeared once the amount of data on the card went over some limit. The card itself works fine in my camera so its most likely something to do with the drivers or hardware. _________________ --Ken

KenS, I tend to agree with you. I bought a new 2GB SD card and my card reader could not read it. My hx4700 was OK. In the end I bought a new card reader after which I sucessfully installed CP6 without problems. Trying to do it over activesynch is way to slow and I also suffered the "insufficient space" problem. My card is a 150X RIDATA 2GB SECURE DIGITAL CARD.
