nuvi Firmware Rollback

Anyone know if it's possible to rollback the nuvi firmware to a previous version? After updating my nuvi 300 to 2.70 I thought I had a problem and tried to re-install 2.60. The PC installer ran and appeared to copy over the files but the nuvi didn't pick them up on re-boot and prompt to install 'new' firmware. Checking on the nuvi, it still showed 2.70. I also re-ran the 2.70 installer just in case I had ended up with a mix of files! As it happens, the 'problem' I thought I had was actually me 'unticking' the UK map so I didn't have any map data or database loaded

Anyway, the question remains. If I wanted to go back to a previous version of firmware is it possible and if so how as re-running a previous version installer doesn't do the trick.

i dont think so in v 2.7 the only diference is the autozoom i tryed the roll back did not work the one problem i noticed was on a cold start it seems to take ages now than when i took it out the box on christmas day :o

I also noticed that mine took longer to acquire satellites after the latest update. However I have only used it once I did it so don't know if this was a one off or a bug created by the update. Time will tell.
