Hi,
My girlfriend and I both have Dell Axim X51v's but whereas she has a Royaltek RBT-1000 I have a Globalsat BT-338. The performance of my GPS is much better than the Royaltek (gets a lock much, much faster, see's more satellite's, has a more stable lock, etc) and I was looking at ways of increasing the performance of her RBT-1000. Would adding a MMCX External Antenna do the trick? If so, can anyone recommend somewhere to purchase one?

Hi Alex,
Unless you have a heat-reflective windsceen (or another reception problem) then an external antenna is unlikely to help (much).
The main difference is that the 338 uses the SirfStar3 GPS reciever technology which is widely considered to be the best currently available (try searching on this website).
