Hi guys! I'm an italian boy and I ask for your help....
I've an x51v (so windows mobile 2005) and I've bought an Haicom 305 III.
I've installed the driver by active sync
I've installed the gps Info utility
I've put the gps into the CF slot
The pda says that it doesn't recognize the card and asks for the drivers name, and appears a popup windows asking to create an internet connection for the modem (maybe for the pda the gps looks like a modem).
Now I know, this gps and windows mobile 2005 are not suitable, but when I bought it there where no information about. And there were no information on the haicom website too!
WHat can I do? can you help? or do you know when new driver will be realesed?
thank you so much for the time you spent for me, and sorry for my little english |

I've already read that posts...But it doesn't work, I don't know why, maybe this two gps are too different. For example, my pda recognizes the receveir as a modem or something like that, and with tomtom I can't set the right Com port. But I discovered that the gps takes the satellites with the gps info program.
The support page of the Haicom is not for WM05... |

Yep, mine did that too, just ignored the error message about modem.
When you run the info programme make sure you take out the CF card and re insert it then allow it to get a fix before starting TT Navigator.
Cheers

Sorry maybe i confused you. I found with my 303III if you started any GPS software like GPS info aftre finishing, you must make sure that the programme is stopped in memory. Then take out the CF GPS unit and reinsert then start TTN or whatever software you want to run.
Cheers

I'll try...but I don't think it will work, cause I've already tried something like that.
Any other advice? |

Much too late but...
Update your X51v to A12 firmware. I was having similar problems.
After you upgrade you will get two pop-ups each time you insert the GPS card - ignore these (cancel / close window) and everything works OK. |
