What changes have you made recently? Do you have a backup you can try? |

Try a reset first. Poke an unbent paperclip into the reset hole underneath. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

The only changes i have made is the recent version upgrade.
When the unit is loading there is a yellow progress bar that shows the progress as if the unit is booting up from fresh. 8O |

We can't help you unless you comment on what happened when you followed our suggestions? Did you try a reset? Do you have a back up you can try and go back to temporarily? |

I have tried resetting the Tomtom but has made no difference, I do have a back up but i don't know how to reinstate it.
Do I copy and paste the old files into the tomtom and replace existibg files?
Thanks in advance. |

It depends how you did the Backup.
If you used Copy/Paste to the PC you will need to Copy/Paste back to the SD Card to do a Restore/Reinstall.
If you used the Backup that comes as part of the TomTom Setup you will need to used the Restore Option on the same Setup Menu. _________________ Richard

I have tried restoring my back up (which was an older version 5.200) and everthing seemed fine, i have then updated back to the newest version, now the problem has returned. I have tried deleting my unused voices but it has made no difference. The problem only occurs when the tomtom has bean switched off for a few hours.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
It also seams to take an age to fix on to the sattelites then once it has finally found the sattelites and i choose my destination, the map loads up very slowly.
Please help! |
