|
|
I've used TT5 on a PPC for almost 2 years, and found the Petrol Station POI's to be very good, given the age of the database. (Although this might have been upgraded when I went to TT5 from v3.) However, having now puyrchased a TT One, I found the Petrol Station and Rest area POI's to be severely out of sync with my previous DB. Out of 10 petrol stations in the first 30 miles, 3 were not displayed, and most of the rest were out by 200 yards, or on the wrong side of the road!
I've copied back the main POI file from my PPC to the TT one, albeit a smaller file size (don't care if I'm now missing some churches or cash points), and it has now resumed normal service.
Any comments. _________________ Tom Tom 1005 v2 World, Garmin Dakota 20, IPhone 4S |

I know you posted this thread a while ago but I also find the petrol stations on the TT1 very poor, I think I will try the pois for Shell/BP/Tesco/Sainsbury. |

I'll third that.
Apparently, they're down the road or in a field!
Any way to fix this? |

Where can i download these improved POI's from? I cannot find them.
The petrol station ones i am interested in, especially if it lists the Shell garages.
Thanks. |

Have a look at http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/oldboy/TomTomPOI/ and see if they fit the bill. _________________ Richard
