Hello Guys I have a problem and wondered if you could help, I have downloaded Real Voice Warnings from http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html. these are supposed to be for PGPSW speed camera data base. What I cannot get my head around is How do you assign eg Gatso 30 to the correct setting eg my tomtom says Gatso 30 at a Gatso 30 speed camera.
I am using firmware 5.420 and made sure I have downloaded the correct versions ect .
Best Wishes

I assume you have the PGPS database pois installed in your map folder.
On your tomtom goto Change Preferences | Manage Pois | Warn When Near Poi |
Select the first poi you want to setup i.e Gatso 30
Remove warning ? select no
Set your distance
Scroll through the sounds pressing test to find the one that says ".....Gatso 30" and select and then select done.
If you use the poiw program you can rename the sounds and get rid of the bell 1 cow etc and change to Gatso 30..... _________________ Ray

Nice one. Seeing this post, I've added the real voice warnings I no longer feel like I'm driving through a farmyard each time I approach a GATSO.
BTW, great site rayflan. :-)
One question - am I right in thinking the PGPSW camera dBase doesn't support varying speeds?
From what I can tell, the files I downloaded from PGPSW don't differentiate between speeds, just camera types whereas the real voices do have different speed warnings. |

There are speed-zoned versions of the files. It's all covered in the instructions. |

Thanks for your reply Ray, what I meant to say was If I was coming up to a Gatso speed camera and the speed limit was say 30mph I want my TomTom to say "Warning Gatso Ahead Speed Limit 30mph" and so on?
Best Wishes

The Speed Camera POI's are set up on your device by dropping the .ov2 and .bmp files in to the map folder.....
But there is more than one set of .ov2 & .bmp files - if you download the zip file containing the database, there is a folder called "ov2 and bmp" files (or somthing like that) , within this folder there is a set of speed camera locations that cannot alert you to the different speed linits , i,e gatso 30 , gatso 40
There is another folder called "speed Zoned" and within this there are three folders,
Gatso
Specs
Mobile
Open these folders and you will see that there are more .ov2 and .bmp files and
What you need to do is remove you old camera POI's from your Tom Tom and the connect your Tom tom to you computer and and drag and drop the files from within the Gatso, Mobile and specs folder into your map folder
As Normal , DO NOT copy the entire folders , copy the contents of the folders
If you Do not remove your old POI's before adding the speed zonedPOI's you will have two sets of camera details and it will alert you twice. |

To add to the above - one you have the Speed Zoned POI's in place , you can use Rays sounds to set up the correct sound against the correct warning
Ive used LIZ from Rays sounds and added her as a voice for the directions too so the voice is the sane throughout , Im very pleased with it |

That should be .bmp, it's the icon file for the cameras that shows where thay are on the TT screen. |

The .BMP files are located within the OV2 folder, as an alternate to these you could try the folder "alternative bmp files" in here are other icons for the cameras, you just pick the ones you like the best, for each .OV2 file there must be a single coresponding .BMP file, if you do use the alternate ones, don't forget to use the gatso_var.bmp from the speed zoned gatso section as that the only location it is stored (as far as I know).
In addition the SPECS icons for speed zoned are only avail from the main OV2 folder in speed zoned or the Cooper 4 bit colour folder within the Alternative bmp files folder.
