Not wanting to sound too much like a mod, but if you read the instructions not only would you see that it would work you'd find out how to install it.
Happy New Year

Oooooh, do we really sound like that?
Mind you, it's good advice. So many times we get the same questions posted again and again. Doesn't anyone use the Search facility? _________________ Tim |

Sorry Tim, Just getting a little p***ed at the moment.
Takes forever to read posts when there are several hundred each day and the vast majority are either bloody complaining about the cost of the database in the future or posts from people who cant read other posts to get the answers.
On the subject of the cost. two options
1. Pay
2. Leave
end of story, nuff said, bye.
Sorry again for the rant but it is Monday morning.
Mikey
ps. don't anyone turn this post into one complaining about the cost.
pps. peten44 sorry you've got both barrels on this post. It's not intended towards you. |

Hmmm well the search facility is a little daunting for new users.
There are so many posts and cross posts it is hard to get a good result.
However, i searched for 'tomtom camera database instructions' asking for all words to be found and got 75 results. Not too bad really considering the size of the forums.
The third result is a begineers guide to the camera database. Which is a good place to start.
Link here
However, its worth mentioning that this needs updating for Copilot V6.

Hi peten44,
to the forum!
There are some guides that should be read (in the following order):
The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.
Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:
How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.
How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
Once you have installed, set up, and used the PocketGPSWorld camera database for a while on your TomTom SatNav system. You may want to share and send in details of cameras yourself. You can do this by using the PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility:
The PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility.
You do not need the PocketGPSWorld POI Capture utility on your TomTom SatNav system in order to use the PocketGPSWorld camera database. However if you want to send in camera details then POI Capture makes the process of recording cameras much easier on TomTom Navigator and GO (original, 300, 500, and 700). At the moment POI Capture will not work with TomTom Rider, One, and mobile. This is for a technical reason, which we hope, will soon be rectified by TomTom.
The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.

Hi all
I am pleasantly surprised at all your most helpful, enlightening responses.
You've obviously come across the odd complete before.
I shall take great care in future to avoid wasting your time, and to check out the searches and helps more thoroughly.
But c'mon - you must admit that sometimes it makes it all worth while for you guys - to be able to help a newcomer.
Thanks - peten44 |

We were and are all newcomers at some stage or another But using the Search tool is a useful tip, some questions are asked every day and I'm sure you can understand that it becomes a little tiresome repeating the answers _________________ Darren Griffin |
