I need a wall charger but I don't want to pay out when I could have the right/similar charger at home.
The Tom tom one says on the ciggy charger 5v 2A same on the bottom of the TT1 .
I have 2 chargers one of which has the same polarity but is 1.5A instead of 2A but then I also have a universal adaptor that does the same polarity but states
"This unit supplies an un-stabilised DC output to a maxium current of 300mA.
If the current requirement of your equipment is less than 150mA the voltage output of the adptor may rise significantly."
Any ideas what one I can use safely or don't use them at all ???

Have a look at this thread.

If you do a Search on the TomTom GO/Rider/One Forum for charger, there are numerous references to look up.

This one here works great and is cheap:

I'm really pleased with it.

Thanks.
I have used the 5V 1.5A which come with my Fuji camera & seems to work fine.
But I can see that after a while I won't need to use the wall charger because I will only be using it in the car.
I have been playing with it indoors to get the hang of it hence running the battery down but didn't want to keep going out to the car to charge it.
After doing a search in the right forum Embarassed I found a link from someone else which I think would come in more handy & better for the Tom tom one http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/3134.htm
