Don't think there are freebies for the Mio 268/269 series (unless you unlock the device) so perhaps POI-Warner might be the way to go - one off payment for the software download and activation (€29.00, I think) and then €12.00 annually for the speed camera database. There is a lot more to POI-Warner than the camera database and the rest of the info map overlays are free! |

I agree - also just got a MIO 268+ as my first GPS (chose it because offer included DVD of all European maps for no extra charge - so seemed a good deal :D )
I downloaded the POI-Warner software yesterday - installed like a dream, v straightforward to upload Speed Cams & other POIs |

POI-Warner is not too easy to update on the move - ie put in poi's you find are missing whilst driving (speed cameras, new roundabouts etc). If you are just after speed cameras then you may be better to go for something like a Road Angel Classic and run it alongside your satnav! I have to admit this is what I do with my 269 - the Road Angel is hard wired and the satnav connects via the poweroutlet (cig lighter). The Road Angel is VERY much more up to date than POI-Warner. But then you have a subscription for the Road Angel to add, though the devices are available at decent prices on eBay if you bide your time! |
