I've just upgraded my XDA II to v2.06 Win Mobile 2003 and re-installed TT3 which works a whole heap better than it did before. But ...

It now keeps displaying a black summary screen over the top of the map (and obliterating the same) for long periods of time, particularly when I'm on the M1. This is a Censored PIA as it obscures the display of speed cameras and other POIs.

Anyone know how I turn off this "feature"? I've searched high and low Sad

TIA

It sounds like the safety speed, in set-up there is a never to exceed speed (or something like that) when you speed goes over this setting the screen turns black as a warning, you will need to go in and reset this to a more realistic value or slow down Wink - Mike

Or just disable the "feature" altogether?

>sounds like the safety speed,<

Can be useful, I've set mine to 76mph (just under the ACPO prosecution guideline for speeding offences on the motorways). Whenever I see the TomTom screen change I know to back off a tad... Wink

Thanks for the replies guys

The safety speed was set to 70 mph which explains a lot Laughing I've now set it to 76 (great advice - thanks amcluesent) so I should be a happy bunny from now on as I rarely drive more than 75 (a bit too noisy in a Smart)
