Upgraving Navman SmartST v3 to 2005

I was just wondering whether you could upgrade the SmartST v3 you get on a Navman icn510 to the new 2005 version, instead of forking out for the icn520. Also, I was just wondering whether it was worth getting a Tomtom Go 300 by stretching a very limited budget.

Yes, the upgrade for the software only is, I believe, £29 + p&p from Navman. If you want the new maps as well, I think it's something like £99.

Personally, I'd choose a TomTom ONE above a GO 300.
