Just got my Tom Tom One from Santa. Was working great yesterday, then today did the software upgrade to 5.420, all seemed fine. Tom Tom was showing my home address, I was reading the instructions to down load the camera POI, looked back at my Tom Tom to find it was powered off and blank. Tried to charge via the car charger, it shows charging but still won't turn on, any one ese had this problem? |

You may need to make a bit of room on the card. Try removing any foreign voices you don't need.
Make a full back up to your PC before doing any changes.
Better still, copy your backup to a bigger blank SD card and use that as you day to day card. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

I would certainly recommend buying an additional, larger (256meg) card for the UK maps, copy the supplied card over and use the larger one as your day to day card. Plenty of free space then for all the additional bits that I'm sure you'll want to put on. |

Nick101: Even if it's working OK now, you might find it crashing when it's calculating routes unless you do whet sgould suggested:

That's an easy first fix, if you don't want to get a bigger card yet. |

I had the same problem. Charged my One overnight, used it the next day after adding the cam poi and a new voice. I used it untill the battery was flat then recharged it. It would not switch on untill i reset it with the trusty pin kept for the washer jets. No problems since then. |
