As a Bike owner, and my Dad running a Motorcycle Business, and being an agent for TomTom Rider, I wondered what users here thought of them in terms of practicality and ease of use, value for money??

The trial one he was given i used 3 times and i found it akward, if not dangerous, as I (without doing it on purpose) kept on looking at it, even if i knew where i was going and not on a planned route.

He hasnt sold many, I thought he may sell more with Xmas and all, but no, the general opion seems to be too expensive.

I would not want one on any of my bikes permanantly
Paul

Difficult, I'm a biker and I think it's excellent. If you want a bike GPS then it's better then the Garmin's (IMHO).

Of course they're aimed at Touring Motorcyclists but any GPS can be a distraction if you keel looking at it and not the road!

im a biker and looked at the rider system its too expensive, too bulky and distracting you really dont need a screen to look at do you? I liked the bluetooth headset idea but i already have a intercom system with headset in helmet so bluetooth was no good to me. I got the medion pda (£200 complete with car kit) which just plugs into me intercom and sits in me tank bag and its small enough to carry around when parked up.
