|

Hi,
i recently posted troubles with trying to get my ttgo 300 to work with the speed camera downloads, it wouldn't work. I think i now know which files to copy, contrary to the instructions.
I thought i would buy a bigger SD card, so i need not delete anything the tt existing menu.
I copied over all the files on the PC , into the new SD card no problem, but as soon as I remove tt form the PC, it doesn't like the card, & tells me to remove it.
I looked in the cd rom, nothing about how to activate the unit, looked on the website, & now have it registered under MY PRODUCTS but still don't know if it needs to be "activated" ?? in order to make things like the camera database & other SD cards work
What am i not doing here?
Thanks in advance |

Ally.
I think you will first need to backup your original card, that facility can be found on the menu on the CD that came with TT.
Then insert your new card and select Restore from same menu.
Best regards

...and always make sure you select 'safely remove hardware' on your PC before removing the usb lead from the TT. Look for the icon in your system tray. |

Cheers folks, I will give that a go, I already made a back up & copied the folder from the PC, but not by using the cd rom, just by using the copy & paste facility, so the cd rom should do it alright? |

Using the Backup and then Restore from the CD Rom should work fine.
Then you can use copy and paste to place the speedcams and/or any other POI's into the Great Britain Map folder.
See below a snippet from the Speedcam database page:
Copy the OV2 and BMP files to your Storage Card into the Country Directory (e.g. \Great Britain) and enable them in the POI screen.
