Hmmm, i am looking for a gps unit that will give me everything of the tomtom GO 700 also with free speed camera updates with approaching alarm, low bridges with auto re-route, weight limit roads. The Road Angel seems better for the cameras but not so good for the rest.
Has anyone got any advice??
Cheers

Do you have a bluetooth phone? I think the ability to answer the phone through the 700 is a pretty cool feature. |

yeah, based on the review, the TT700 appear to be MUCH better. I've actually never heard of it that brand. |

Going back to the "Road Angel Navigator" I get PDA Essentials mag every month and for the last few months they now also include GPS as well, including free applications for gps and PDA,Palm or Windows on the disk
My point, They dont even list it in the list of available dedicated sat nav/speed camers detectors at all!
I phoned the mag today, and spoke to a tech guy and asked why it has never been reviewed and is never mentioned wheras every other device is
he said "We do not support that device, and we are also bound by a certain Copyright Law that "Blackspot" has setup disabling mags from reviewing or writing about it, we get loads of letters regarding the device, but are not allowed to publish them"
That is a bit strange i think? What do they have to hide?
Well, i do know one thing that IS A FACT , they track every unit they sell on a central Computer, and when you perform an update, take records of saved home address, and favourites, along with recent destinations
So, if you own one, they are watching you!

I have a Raod Angel Navigator and was not made aware that Black Spot keep all saved destinations via updates! Is this legal?
You have me really concerned as even with nothing to hide I do not take kindly to Big Brother looking on from the Back Door!
Can some one confirm this because if so I feel that the unit made be liable for returning to retailer as I was not told this upon purchase as I would definately not chosen it.
