Hi guys,
I have an ICN 520 which I've been having a few problems with.
1. When I switch on the machine it can take 10 minutes before I get a satellitte lock. Is this normal?
2. Since installing the speedcam alerts I am not getting any navigation help! The screen in the bottom right hand corner always displays 62mph even when stationary and it fluctuates between the speed and SIM. Do i have a major fault?
3. Finally how do I uninstall the speedcam alerts from the device as this seems to be where all my problems started. |

Sounds like you are stuck in Route Demonstration mode. Read P.57 of your Manual (the one on the CD) to see whether or not this is the case. _________________ Tim

Hi Tim,
No joy I'm afraid, the unit is not running in demo mode.
Just to give you some more info on the problem.
I was on my way back from Aylesbury this afternoon and tried to navigate to Watford. The map view showed me exactly where I was on the road (A41 near Tring) and then I tried to get the unit to naivgate to Watford from that point.
When it calculated the route I was according to the unit about 4 miles up the road travelling at 62mph. When I arrived in a traffic jam, I was still doing 62mph and I was told I was at my destination even though I know I was some 7 miles from the destination. This is concerning as I would like to use the unit over the Christmas period. Any other ideas. |

You could try a reset, it works when I`ve had niggly probs with my 520.
Take out the stylus (little pointy thing for touching screen) and lightly push the point into the tiny hole in the top of the unit...might do the trick.

Or swicth the battery switch at the back, off and on as this performs a hard reset and should clear up any problems but the unit definately thinks it's in demo mode. |
