thinknavi gps cradle no gps device help

i decided to plump for the thinknavi gps cradle instead of the usual bluetooth connection as it doesn't everything in one (powers my xda iis, the attached gps reciever and has a built in loudspeaker)

do you think i can get the damn thing to connect to the gps reciever, of course not. i've tried everything i can think off, which isn't much as i'm a newbie.

just to let you know i can connect to tomtom 5 which is my satnav product using a bluetooth gps receiver, no problem.

any help would be gladly received.
