Version 5.201

I have at present version 5.201 .... is it beneficial to me to up grade to version 5.202 ... should have added I own a tomtom Go Classic.

I was thinking of installing POICapture and apparently it is stated that ............ Therefore you must use POICapture only with a version of TomTom that supports applications written with the TomTom SDK ...........

I don’t want to break something that isn’t already broke if you get my drift!

I thought probably incorrectly if I was to install (Software Developer’s Kit). that later on it might conflict with future upgrades, so basically should I just leave alone and live with 5.201?

Or upgrade to something else?

It won't break it if you do install 5.202.

The only drawback with 5.202 is the POI limit of 27 categories, whereas 5.420 brings the limit back up to 39.

5.202 is an easy install. Just download from my Webpage, unzip and copy the files to the root of the card, and overwrite the files.

Do a backup first as insurance.

Could you explain to me what " root " means ... cheers m8

It's the highest level on the SD card. In Windows Explorer it will show as TomTom and a drive letter.

You will also see 4 files that have the same name there. If you find the files, you've found the place to copy the new ones.
