Okey Dokey . .
It appears that maps supplied with TTN 5.0 (other than GB Plus) do not work with TTN 5.21. Is there any way to change any of the map(s) data to allow TTN 5.21 to recognise them?
If not, then it would be like anyone running software on Windows 98 having to buy it all again because they upgraded to Windows XP, which as we all know would be ludicrous.
The conundrum is that if you want map functionality . . use TTN 5.0, or if you want POI Capture and anything else the new version offers, then use TTN 5.21. Seems stupid to me, but what the heck do I know.
Oooh! . . Lets go out and buy all the map software again . . .
What a great idea _________________ Pirate! |

No error message, just no maps listed other than GB Plus! _________________ Pirate! |

That's exactly what TomTom want you to do. Don't tell me you are surprised. _________________ Lutz

I'm slightly confused - you have a PLUS map and you want an older map of GB as well? Both bought legally from TomTom? |

Not quite. I have the Plus map AND maps of European countries and USA states which work with TTN 5.0 but not on TTN 5.21. Hence the dilemma. _________________ Pirate! |

you installed them from one of the CDs and it didn't even ask for the activation code? Just "no maps found"? |

The only map now listed on TTN 5.21 is the GB Plus. On TTN 5.0 I had all available which is why I'm puzzled. I'll just re-install TTN 5.0 when I need to use other maps. _________________ Pirate! |

since you avoided my question would it be fair to suggest that these maps are copies, not the original TomTom software? |

Since you indicated here that you didn't actually buy the map software in the first place, I am challenging your use of the word again. That would leave you with

Have you considered that option? _________________ Tim |

Has anyone ever bought a PC with Windows already installed and no licence?
Same difference here. I paid for the goods. _________________ Pirate! |

This is pretty easy.
Old maps (pre-2005!) do _not_ work on Navigator 5.1+, only on 5.000, and even that intermittently.
So, that means any and all maps before Navigator 5 (MoWE, US/Canada, whatEVER) will not work if you go from Navigator 5.000
