Advice for a total new start

I have purchased a Fujitsu Siemens pocket pc loox420 bluetooth navigation kit. It arrived nearly 3 weeks ago and I'm still embarrassed by the fact that I cant even download Active Sync. Each time I've tried ,I'm told to instal TCP/IP and try as I might ,I've had no success.
It may be finger trouble, or even my age and lack of expertise, but I would appreciate any help available.

I'm running Windows XPsp2, which I thought would automatically allow Active Sync to load but no such luck.

I apologise if my query is too simple for this forum, but I could still do with some simple answers.

have u got the cd's with ur ppc?
if u have when u insert it in ur pc it should auto install.
if not try to right click the cd in ur my computer and u wiil see run.. click it!
