Hi there
can anyone tell me how to get the speed/safety cameras and other points of interest onto my pocket pc (Micromaxx/Medion MDPPC 150) running the Navteq/Navigon Navigator 5 software?
I tried following the instructions using the poieditor but they didin't show up on my gps/pda.
When I look (using explore) in the map/great britain folder on my pda the great britain file ends with .map not .xls or .csv or .bmp
what am I doing wrong? Or is it not possible to add POI's to this gps system.
thanks |

apparently you can not add pois directly.
you need a program like poi-warner
have also found that the pois don't show up in 3d mode |

I see. I'll try with poi-warner. If it's easy to use I'll give it a go. Or am I better off installing another type of gps software onto the pda - maybe buying it from ebay?
Any thoughts? thanks |

Apparently POI Warner will not run on Medion Navigator 5 as you need v5.1.
I've spoken to Medion and they will not give me a free upgrade. If you manage to get 5.1 from anywhere then let me know.

Do you know if it is possible to install tom tom navigator 5 onto the pda? Is so I might try to do that - I think it's a better bit of software too -unless I am just believing what the guy on ebay says! What do you/does anyone think? |

Advice please. Does this have detailed French maps? Hiking in mountainous region of France and it would be a safety aid. Is it good enough? |
