Tomtom 700 europe: want to add USA

I have the Tomtom 700 for Europe, since I live in Germany. Most of my family lives in Oregon and Washington State. I am going to visit them in a few weeks. I see I can add the city of Portland, but I can't see how to add the entire state

Is it possible to get state maps and will there be room to load Oregon and Washington State?

I see that I can download the West Coast, which is just what I need...

Does the 700 have room for that (with all of Europe in there at the same time?)

I found there was plenty of room and downloaded the maps to my PC and then to the Tomtom 700, but I can't figure how are where to input the activation code

help....

go through the preferences menu, switch map, and it will then ask you.
