question about plus services

just wondering when using the plus services does your mobile have to be connected to the internet all the time your using it ?

hi

the mobile phone connects to the internet for short bursts of time
you can define howoften tt checks for updates 5 min 15 min etc

and its usualy for afew seconds

If its for the Traffic PLUS service then you set up the refresh or update time within TomTom Traffic and the phone will go out and connect via GPRS to get the update at your specified interval, once GPRS is on it will stay on but you get charged by the MB downloaded (Or part MB) - you are not charged by duration of connection. Check your tarrif to be sure of this and for the associated cost, the trafic updates are relatively small bursts of data - Mike
