I just got this out of this box there.
I keeps saying locating satellites, but it ever does. And appears to have no signal strength.
I'm guessing its broke. Unless i'm doing something daft.
Any suggestions? Its going straight back to comet tomorrow.
Thanks in advance

Does the unit have clear access to the sky? If you are indoors you will have a long wait! |

Yeah i've been out standing in my street with it, tried it in the car, and left it stuck to my living room window for 20 mins. But still no joy.
I'll let you know tomorrow if the new one works ok. |

on first use i think mine took about 15 minutes to get a signal...

Ok, i've phoned the free helpline number.
They told me it takes about 1 hr to lock onto the satellites, so its stuck onto my living room window for now.
They told me this just for the first time using it. The map currently says TAIWAN.
I'll let you know how i get on with it.
Thanks |

Mine took ages - kept trying when out walking, on the train, at work... hour after hour for the first few days. It wasn't until I stood out in the garden one evening for 5 minutes that it finally got a proper lock, and ever since then it's got a lock (when it can see the sats_ within a minute or so... Persevere! |

dont think you will get a good signal at the window..put it in the garden with if possible a 360 degree clear view of the sky..your sats will take about 10 to 20 minutes to aquire and download all the info to the i3.... _________________ *************************** |
