I'm after some advise please. After hearing about all the recent thefts of GPS equipment from cars i thought i would hide my new Talex below dash with the assistance of a re radiating antenna. Seems to work ok but then i realised that a GPS aerail on the roof of the car is probably just as good an advertiment to theives as the Talex on view.

I have tried removing the the aerial from the roof and placing on the dash but i do not get any signal. I'm guessing i have the UV glass that stops GPS signal. Has any one any suggestion as to where i could possibly get a signal inside the car without having to resort back to the roof. Is there any place on Peugeot glass without the UV coating?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Didn't have any joy with this at all. The best signal i got was 1 sat.

Oh well back to the roof.

Advise to anyone with a GPS device.

Don't buy a Peugeot 307 XSI

Get a SiRF Star III GPS and put it in your glove box, my Holux 236 works in our Focus from the glove box and boot etc.
