Just got it this weekend after using TomTom.
Decided to test it going from Eastfield Road, Driffield to National Avenue, Hull.
The route it took was abysmal, going through Beverley, out on the A164 and down the B1233 through Cottingham which is 30 limit and a horrific twisty road.
All other Satnav software and routing websites use the bypasses around Beverley and send you into Hull on the A1079 which is a major single carriage A road with a 2 mile stretch of dual carriageway or via the A1174/A1079.
I have tried altering the speed settings for the types of roads but it made no difference whatsoever. Tried using Fastest Slowest Car/Lorry.
I have to trust this. I drive a lorry and I can't be having something that will send you down a minor B road in preference to an A road despite whatever speed settings you put in for those roads.
Also, what does the Urban percentage do? I assumed it sets the urban portions of road types to whatever percentage you set. Tried altering it to 100% and 1% but it also made no difference. |

My R66 does that route along the A1079 for fastest car and fastest lorry settings.
Under advanced preferences I have:-

subsiduary motorway 65
main road 50
link road 30
important local raod 20
local road 10
small street 5
unpaved road 1
urban area 50% |
