Searching For streets

Hi all, new to this forum.

I have TomTom 5 with a Palm Zire 72 (PS: should I be posting here, or the Palm forum?).

I like the software, but my main problem is finding addresses. Sometimes cities are divided into smaller suburbs (ie: Toronto, North York, Mississauga, Scarborough, Downsview). Many times, the actual address lists one city, but TomTom thinks it is in another for whatever reason.

Is there a way to search for a street GLOBALLY? Ie: it would be nice to type in a street name, and TomTom lists the associated cities....similar to the way MapBlast does it if it can't find the street in the city you've entered.

As far as I know the answer is no, certainly for the version of Tom Tom we use in the UK. I can understand why here. Nearly every town has a High Street, etc so would not really help here I suspect.
