i have long been a fan of tom tom and have tomtom nav 3 running on my ipaq. I have just purchased a new ipaq 2410 and was looking at upgrading to Tom tom 5. But then I discovered that this does not work on windows mob 5. Now I want the benefits of window mob 5 but cannot use my tomtom. Tom tom are yet to tell me how long before they have fixed the problem no doubt tomtom 6. Now i read about copilot 6 and was wondering if the systems are like for like.

can anyone give me a run down of copilot 6 so I can make my mind up.

I am a reasonably satified user of CoPilot 5, and will be updating to Copilot 6 as soon as my upgrade is available.

While TomTom 5 has now been out for some time, and has possibly settled down, CoPilot 6 has only just been released. So any reviews are currently based on just a few peoples limited experience.

From what I can see, while still not perfect, it looks as if it is a genuine improvement over the previous version, but fundementally very similar. No doubt you will see comments appearing saying it is little more than a bug fix, or there is nothing which shouldn't have been in v5, but that is another matter, as you are buying from scratch.

Being happy with CoPilot, I would recommend that you give it a try. You also had the ability to return CoPilot 5 within 30 days if you are not happy with it - something I don't believe is possible with TomTom, I think (but please check) that there is the same offer with v6.

As for returning it, I dont know what the conditions are (postage re-stocking etc) so you would need to check that out
