Can anyone help please? Downloaded speed cameras into TTG fine but not showing any speed cameras within 56.8 miles of home then shows loads upto 210 miles away. Red light cameras all showing up o.k.
ps loads of speed cameras within 5 miles of home. Thanks.

Hi RWB,

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

Which TomTom GO are you using (GO, 300, 500, 700)?
Which version of the application are you using?

Application 5.2xx only allows the use of 27 user POIs.

There are some guides that should be read (in the following order):

Arrow The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.

Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:

Arrow How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.

Arrow How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO.

The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.

Regards,

Free RAm and free MB are irrelevant. The GO with version 5.2 or later software will only see 27 PoI categories, whether enabled or not. If you have exceeded this limit some of the speed categories will not show.

The list of files you need are shown here - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=151199

Did you copy the files, or the Folders with the files? Only files must be copied. TT can only see the files in the Map Folder.

How many added POI categories do you have? There is a limit of 27.

Check this:

Touch screen bottom right.
On next screen touch "Route" - bottom left.
Next screen touch "Browse map of route".
Next screen touch "Options" bottom left.
Next screen make sure "Points of Interest" box is ticked.

You have got the PoIs enabled in Prefs/Manage PoI/Enable Disable POI?

There's your problem!
The ov2 and bmp files must go INDIVIDUALLY in the Great_Britain-map folder, not inside any other sub-folder.
Try moving them out of your "ov2bmpfiles" folder and all should be well.
