As it stands, anyone who reads this forum isn't going to buy CoPilot v6 once they read all the negative comments about CP5.
So come on ALK, we have put up with CP5 for long enough. It never was fit for purpose (routing is seriously broken) nor was it as described (no traffic integration).
How about we put all this behind us and you give us longsuffering CoPilot 5 users here a "review copy" of v6 and we will sing it's praises and forget all about the v5 problems (if v6 is any good). |

Nice try, but I don't necessarily think that the claim you make in your first sentence is true. _________________ Tim |

I was prepared to pay for it (unhappy about doing so - but definately prepared to), but customer services can't be bothered to sort their act out and get round to dealing with it. They can't even get a simple thing like an auto-responder to include the name of the person it's responding to.
I don't mind shelling out to get up to date maps, I just don't see why I should have to pay for a new version of a piece of software when ALK have stopped developing the current version before it is fully working.
There's no way ALK will just dish out free upgrades, and hoping and asking for them is (IMHO) a fruitless task. Personally I wouldn't take a free upgrade now, because i just couldn't be doing with the terrible after-sales support.
As a customer (of any company - not singling out ALK here) i'll put up with almost anything as long as i'm kept informed and i feel the company is genuinely making an effort to resolve whatever problems are occuring. It's when i'm kept in the dark, fobbed off, ignored etc.. that my hackles begin to rise and i get upset with them. |
